Essential oil use and storage

  

There are numerous types of essential oils, each plant providing a different function. To make the most of your essential oils, here are ten recommended ways depending on the oil:

  

1. Facial skincare

a) Select essential oils that are benefical to the skin (eg. rose, jasmine, neroli, sandalwood, ylang-ylang,geranium), blend

    with a base oil and apply to the face and neck, or use as a facial massage oil.

  

b) Select and use an essential oil blend that is suitable for your skin type

  

c) During facial steaming, add two drop of suitable essential oil to the face steamer, instantly uplifting the experience and

    room aroma

  

​2. Applying to parts of the body

    Some essential oils can be used directly onto different parts of the body (eg.peppermint,eucalyptus,lavender,rosemary,

    Comp.Boul. Copahierl), and deliver different benefits to mind, body and spirit.

3. Body massage and care

    Select a few essential oil that is suitable for your needs (for example; to help with relaxation, to alleviate tiredness or

    discomfort from long period of sitting), blend with a base oil and massage as needed. Blended body or massage oils

    can be used directly on the whole body.

  

4. Disperse in air and environment 

    By using ultrasonic vapouriser, the essential oil is spread in the air like the mists of a waterfall.

5. Breathing in

     Using a suitable basin (avoid plastic if possible), add hot water and 1-3 types of essential oils, 2 drops each. Using a

     large towel,cover both the head and basin, and breathe in using both nose and mouth. Continue for 5-10 minutes.

     Please take care when handling hot water.

6. Bathing 

     Select essential oils that are mild, gentle, and can help with relaxation or sleep for bathing, and create an at-home

     spa experience. May also use bath oil blends.

​   

7. Sleep 

     Enhance your sleep by adding a drop of lavender or roman chamomile to cotton balls or handkerchief, and place

     next to pillow.

​  

8. Mouthwash

     Use 1-2 drops of encens essential oil to a cup of water and rinse mouth. This can assist with mouth hygiene and odour.

9. Home and environmental cleaning

     In the final wash cycle, add a few drops of tea tree or origan essential oil to enhance clothes hygiene. A few drops

     can also be added to water for cleaning floor and tiles. We recommend patch testing before use.

​  

10. On-the-go breathing support

       Add a drop of eucalyptus radiata and bois de rose  to freshen the air.

Storage

 

High quality essential oil needs to be stored in a non-transparent bottle

(blue tinted bottles, to reduce or prevent UV rays).

​  

Store upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

The cap should be tightly sealed when not in use.
