About the product
Tree native to the dry deserts of North Africa and West Asia. When an incision is cut on its grey bark, a viscous yellow-white
resin emerges. After drying, the resin solidifies with a brown-red colour, and the essential oil is distilled from these lumps.
The essential oil is dark and thick, with a vetiver-like, smokey aroma and a hint of musk.
The strong vitality of Myrrh shrubs ensures it's survival in the harsh desert, and likewise, its essential oil is as strong and powerful. Myrrh is often prized in medicine, with its value worth above its price.
The mildly bitter Myrrh has cooling and drying properties, and benefits skin blemishes, and comforts the body and mind.

How to use : - Add a small drop to face cream or carrier oil, and apply to the T-zone
- Add a drop to 10 drops of carrier oil and apply to the forehead, chest, stomach and back
- Add a small drop to water for mouth rinse and cleansing
- Can apply directly to skin boils and ailments
- Add a drop to warm water for sitz-bath
- Gently rub a drop to feet and massage
Blends well with : frankincense,niaouli, ciste ladanifere,eucalyptus, rosewood,benzoin,jasmin and patchouli essential oils to
create synergistic effects
Precautionary advice : - Do not use when pregnant
- High quality Myrrh will become viscous when in contact with air. If the oil in an open bottle isn't used
then it may slowly solidify overtime. Should this happen, the oil will liquify when the bottle is placed in
warm/ hot water, or when gently heated with a hair dryer.
